Wheel question....

im wanting to get a set of deeper lipped wheels for my 81. whats the widest, deepest dished/lipped wheel i can run on the 81. i dont mind f tire edge SLIGHTLY sits outside fender lip, but not too much. Deep dish/lip is most important to me. Sizes?? backspacing??

Do you have the stock rear suspension with stock trailing arms? What size wheel are you looking for? 15", 16", 17", 18", 20", 22"?

as Red73 had asked, what size (diameter & width) are you thinking about going with? if you go wider, keep in mind you may have to do some modifications such as relocate e-brake bracket, offset trailing arms, custom spring, etc... if they stick out way too far past the fender lip, you may get tire / fender contact issues. there are some members including myself that are running 18x10's / 5.5" bs @ the rear, some with stock trailing arms and others running offset ta's. having a wide lip wheel does look great on c3's
