Default Rear Window Conversion

Hey Guys, Can anyone give me detailed steps to remove and install my current rear window on my 1981 ( converted to 1982 flip Up version) It needs adjusting and I do not want to break anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have worked on a few.The last one I replaced the cylinders. The others were lock issues. They are pretty fragile units.Where did yours come from-the vendor or manufacture?

Thansk for the interest, although I am not ereally sure, conversion was done several years ago before I had the car. The window lacth works but the window will not come up unless I really pull on it hard from side to side.

If you mean it pops after pulling the release and then wont go up-then maybe the pins are sticking in the latch.edit-Post some pics if you want more help..

The pins can only be screwed in and out which will only tighten the seal. You will have to move the latch to meet the pins.If this union leaves the glass not aligned with the seal then the hinges could be bent. The weak hinges seem to be a common problem. Also if the gas cylinders are not equal pressure the glass can bind.

Someone on here was offering new, upgraded hinges a while back. An archives search might be fruitful.
