Well it's been a very long wait but I'm proud to say I now own my first corvette! She's not pretty right now but it's mine and I can't keep the smiles down.
The car is a 40,00 mile, 73 metallic yellow coupe with a 454, 4-speed combo. The car was left untouched so all the parts are there with the exception of the smog pump and headers. Unfortunately the back frame corners are rusted out so I'm in for a full blown restoration.
I plan to get the car on the road for a few weeks to get a feel for it before starting the project. This winter the body will come off and away we go!
Once I find out how to post pictures I'll throw a couple up here.

Thanks for the support guys. Farmer, it was your pics that convinced me to go for it!
I've got a boat load of work ahead of me, but I'm looking forward to it.
If anyone can tell me how to attach pictures to the forum, I'll post the before pics now and keep you updated as the restoration progresses.
Thanks again
Ian

Congrats on your new ride
You have chosen an excellent plan....get to know the car before ripping into it.

Nice looking ride. Good luck with the restoration. Word of caution- Check out the frame rot carefully before you decide to drive it too hard. These cars have been known to break in half when the frames are too far gone.
