Default goodyear cherry picker at sam's club, anyone have it?

I was going to buy it it's a 2ton and nicely built folds up etc.. but I got to thinking I've always used one that the bottom legs can extend out on and I had to extend the legs way out there on my 68 to get taht 427 outta there because it picked up the picker atthe standard set length..

so anyone got this picker? it's the blue/yellow goodyear one at sam's club if it will reach across that long nose of our car and pull a BB out without any probs. I'm deff. going to go back to get it!

was $176 I think not too bad a price for that piece

here it is http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/nav...=5&item=184143

i got almost the same one, i had to go in from the fender when i did my engine swap because the legs and arm was too short, but this is my first moterswap in a vette so it might be normal. but its a good hoist for the money and it dusnt take up much room in the garage.

If it comes with the adjustable sling then it's a real good price

Default Mine doesnt say Goodyear...

but I have a similar lift and I did have to go in from the side to pull the engine.

Decent hoist for the money. It worked fine with my 350 last year.

It looks like the Sams Club lift is a little lower All the way around.

Same one my buddy has. I've done two motor swaps and always have to go in from the side. No probs doing it that way though.

Here is our cherry picker from the sound of it this is what every c3 owner needs it's like prol36 described the legs extend WAY out and you need it if you go in from the front on a c3. This one is labled as a 3 ton picker.

few pics of last time we took ours out, we had to extend the legs out a good bit even though it reached it wanted to lift the rear of the picker.

heres one like it if you wanted to go with one like ours http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...70_19703_19703

I bought a similar one at Costco. It doesn't have any problems picking up a dressed big block.

Best thing to do is take a picture of it and all that is included. Put it in the parts for sale section with a price and what town and state you live in. These usually aren't easy to ship. Probably only a local pickup.

I have what looks to be the same hoist. I pulled my engine from the side and did not even have to remove the hood.
