Default Radio Help

I have a big block 71 that had an oil leak at the oil pan gasket. In order to swap out the gasket, I needed to disconnect the battery and starter to access the pan. So all goes back together well, but, the radio, which is an autosound AM/FM cassette turns on, but...there is no digital display anymore. Is there a way to correct this?

BTW - Does the glove box area come off easily? I need to trace a speaker short for the radio while I am at it.

Default Hey B2

hey b2flightest, i just changed the heater core in my 71 small block , and had to take that whole side apart , the area your talking about is just held in with screws , it was the easiest part of the job for me , the speaker is about mid center of the map pouch and wires are easy to see and get to i think mine were green and yellow wires to the speaker, good luck but you shouldnt need any ,peice of cake

Some afermarket radios have 2 inline fuses-one for the radio and one for dash lights-this could control the display-make sure your dash light dimmer is not rotated to off
