Just got my 1971 Corvette, and there is a button on the center console under the seatbelt light. The button says push on it....what is it supposed to do? Doesn't show it in the owner's manual and I haven't got the shop manual yet. Right now it doesn't seem to do anything, but I am very curious.
that's your passenger ejector seat, you're probably lucky that so many things in these cars break and never get fixed...real good way to ruin a date.
just kidding, I think its supposed to turn off the fasten seatbelt light. that was before they had the sensors in the retractors to tell the car you actually had your seatbelt fastened.

That's why it doesn't work! You must have to remove the t tops first to allow for the ejection, and I didn't do that
Probably is the switch for the seatbelt light, but the seatbelt light doesn't work, either.
