Default 76 floor replacement

I am replacing the floor in my 76 T-top. I purchased replacement floors from Corvette America. Anyone done this before? Any help or hints would be appreciated.

Hi. I just did this a few weeks ago. There's a lot of threads on this, a few dealing with '76 specificaly. I bought a whole floor pan off e-bay for $300. A few others here have come across even better deals, If you need any specific questions answered, just let us know!
Always happy to help.

Thanks John: So far I have the seats, carpet, and the rear part of the consol out. I tried to lay in the driver side replacement floor pan over the existing rusted floor(just as a test) but it wouldnt go in very well. I was going to use that to determine approx. where to cut the old floor out. I an going to cut out the old drivers side floor and leave around 3" to be able to attach the new floor pan. One thread I read said you can use body panel adhesive, with some tack or spot welding to provide some additional support. Any thoughts or suggestions?

As mentioned already, there are lots of good threads already on this topic. I had to remove my old ones all the way to the rocker channels. I removed most of the old sheet metal off with an angle grinder and cut-off wheel. Even a cheap air chisel works wonders for cutting off the last strip of floor. I had to trim and bend the replacement pans somewhat to get them to fit before MIG welding them in.

I had bought a galvanized pan out of a late C-3, so I was able to some what determine my own cutting points. I used a butyl based calking to actually seal the replacement pans to the existing sheetmetal left in the car. I used heavy pop rivets to hold the pans in place, then used a low power wire fed welder to buzz some welds in to hold it permanantly. When all that had cooled off, I cleaned it all up and used seam sealer from Eastwood to completely seal it all up. I think I have a real good thread on this bookmarked. I'll see if I can find it. I'll post it.
