The **** on the headlight switch comes right off when I pull it. Can I glue it to the shaft or will I be sorry later if I do that?
The passenger's power window does not go all the way up with the door closed, but it does go all the way up with the door open. It seems to bind on the windshield weatherstrip. What is the cure for this?
I have ordered the 1971 Corvette Assembly manual. Are there any other books I should get to help me diagnose and fix these kind of problems?

Thanks again
I had the same problem on my '72 switch, the white stuff in the black **** more or less disintegrated, I would not have had anything left to try glue etc. on. If you can find some glue that will work, do it; when and if you ever replace the switch, the **** and rod come out the front first anyway. BTW, I replaced my switch and ****/rod this weekend (and you can get replacement ****/rods but they are a to replace)

You might be able to glue it as a temporary fix, but remember the **** has to turn for cluster illumination. Push come to shove you can buy a replacement rod.

The door glass is binding at the very top of its travel. The AIM you have on order will have a page dedicated to door glass adjustment. The door glass should snug up against the weatherstrip as it closes, but it should not bind.
