It seems like most people recommend stainless exhaust, but I was wondering if the mufflers look ok in stainless steel because they are shinier than aluminized. My car is stock and I only drive it approximatley 200 miles a year. Do the hanging mufflers at the rear trap water? Is this why I should go stainless? Has anybody had a bad experience with stainless.
Thank you very much!
I am open to lots of opinions.

IMO - Unless you are sure that folks will closely examine your mufflers while you are driving, the aluminized should be fine - especially if you put so few miles on it. However, stainless will last forever.
Some people put a small (1/8 or so) hole at the lowest point of each muffler (usually toward the front) to drain condensate. The shape and angle of the Vette mufflers are such that condensed water will collect in these points. If you drive your car every day, this water boils away. However, if it's not driven daily, the moisture eventually starts to corrode the metal in this area.
I am going with Polished Stainless mufflers because I like em shiney. There is a weephole in most mufflers because of condensation, so trapped water shouldn't be a prob, if its not there, make one
