Anything alarming here?
I drove out there on Sat. test drove and and knew immediatley that was the car for me! The guy was very truthful with what he told me and there were no surprises (not yet anyway!) He gave me all the old parts he took off the car including the original 4barrel carb and intake manifold. The seat covers he purchased are incredible. I can't wait to get them installed and then get it painted, It will be like a brand new vette. He also gave me the car cover. So my baby is nice and tucked in as we speak!
As soon as I can figure out how to shrink some of my photos I will post them here. Now you guys will have to teach me the secret corvette handshake!

The underside appears to look like mine did. I just rebuild all the power steering, as it was leaking for as long as I've had it. The gunk it creates with the dirt is 2nd to none (don't get it in your hair -- don't ask how I know). All of my grunge seemed to be directly behind the power steering pump, so the passenger side appeared ok.
You might be able to buff out those marks near the gas cover ...but it is hard to tell from the pictures.
One picture seems to show a cracked front coil spring (passenger side). Just want to check that out so you don't learn about it the hard way.
I'm sure you'll find stuff you missed -- I know I did. That doesn't mean I regret it, just means I was inexperienced. I see all your ignition shielding is in place -- all mine is gone, so I might call on you for some pics so I can put it back in place

Feel free to use me as a resource -- Our cars look almost identical (mine is an L48, however).
The grin may disappear from time to time, but usually comes back shortly after getting in the car (there are times when I work on it, a grin is about as far from my face -- well, you know how that goes)

Brian.
Thanks for the info and advice, I will check out those springs! We took it for our first official ride last night - it was incredible - everything I ever imagined! I am sure there will be problems along the way, but right now I am flying high!!!!
