I've had a lot of muscle ('70 Challenger, '70 'Cuda, '68 Chevelle, ...) when I was a kid but always wanted a black 'vette. Finally built one and very happy.

These black beauties are just stupendous! Gorgeous cars....when will one of them be deposited in my garage right next to my red '76? I'm ready, guys. Drive it on in.
Wow...this thread has been around for a while... Back in '06 (post #49) I posted pics of my car as she looked when I got her. Here are some updated pics after a lot of new goodies....
I have a confirmed slot for new BLACK paint in October 2012. I can hardly wait!!!

Looking at the photos you posted the question is: Why? It looks pretty good as is.
Thanks Lance, what you can't see are a lot of stress cracks down the front fender seams and around the rear deck lid corners from what is either poor previous paint prep or real stress cracks. Anyway it's time to do her right.
Since we're already on this topic, who has a black Vette with black wheels? (other than the one above) I've been thinking about it for mine, but I've only seen a few. There's a flat black '76 in another thread that I think it wicked cool. I think the combo: flat black, gloss black rims with a polished lip would be amazing. What say you?
