Default t-top hold down strap

I noticed the loops for the hold down strap are all there, but there's no strap. I'd like to order up a new one, but after digging through 4 or 5 online catalogs, I can't seem to find it.

What's it called officially so I can search? Or where in the catalogs would I find it? I tried any interior or top section I could find.

Thanks
Chris

T-top strap. Bunches on eBay. You might even find your color.

I already checked ebay...lots of very poor examples...frayed and otherwise chewey looking.

I ended up finding one in a suitable color from Art's Corvette Salvage.

Guess they're discontinued and no repro's.

I tried to find a repro a few months back and couldn't. Ended up with a decent one off Ebay.

I like Art's; no complaints with those folks.

I've never dealt with Art's before. But I'm impressed so far. We got to b.s.ing and he gave me some pointers to look out for while I'm doing this interior restoration.

I'm sure I'll be calling them again for more goodies.

Thanks, Bama, but I needed one saddle in color. I did see that one, though.

If I had no luck getting a brown or tan one, I was going to pick that one up.

The only ones I have ever seen new are black. I would love to get a fresh one as well, but in my search have not found one better than I have. Be patient; keep trying. One day someone will offer a new one. I am surprised at this point Al Knoch or one of the seat belt restorers hasn't started making them.

I did get one....from Arts. It's on its way right now. He said it's in excellent shape and doesn't need any attention.

A new one would be nice, but a really nice used one is just fine by me. And it was probably less than 1/4 of what they'll charge for them if they start making them new.

Thanks

I just got the strap from Arts. I can't wait to order from them again. The webbing is perfect and the hardware looks great after about ten seconds with some steel wool.

I can't believe how fast it got here. Arrived sat and I placed the order on thurs.

Turned out to be a perfect color, too.

Bamavette,
What year did that e-bay t-top strap come out of?
I have a 68 coupe and neither of mine look like that.
