I have used one of their speedo's before (not in a vette).

I really liked it, it worked really well, never gave me any problems, and was easy to setup.

It should look ok in a later C3, but I don't think I would put them in the early ones as it would look quite out of place IMHO.

Cheers

Thats what I was kinda wondering but it will go with this Flip out car stereo I bought better then the stock which are dimmly lit hard to see at dusk.

Has Several performance calculations include: 0-60 MPH (0-100 KPH) timer, ¼ mile timer, ¼ mile speed display, High Speed recall and High RPM recall.

Displays included with this instrument system: Speedometer 0-255 MPH or KPH. ( Which would be nice if I wanna break the sound barrier)

I'm on the fence looks outta place but so does the stereo but has nice features Decisions... Decisions...

I'm not a big fan of digital readouts...too reminiscent of the early C4 "Atari" dash and KITT (from Knight Rider).

They look pretty good....but I admit, as soon as the picture appeared from the link....I heard the music from KnightRider playing in my head!
That's not good.

Yeah Analog looks better and digital wouldn't be worth what it cost.

Any idea how to make the gauges brighter other then buying new ones?

I had the Nordskog gauges and took them out. They were hard to see on a bright day, the sun would outshine the LED's. I also had lots of trouble with the temps gauge displaying wild numbers. I have gone back to the analog gauges. You can remove both the speedo and temp gauge panels, remove the nuts from the back and clean the inside of the gauge lenses, as well as clean the faces of the gauges ( I use a Q-tip and windex on the gauges) Dayglow orange paint is available at any hobby shop if your gauge needles are that color and sun bleached. Just slip a piece of paper behing the needle before you paint it to protect the face of the gauge. You can also replace ALL of the dash gauge lights at this time.

The blue and grey plastic ***** hold the light bulbs in place, just twist them to remove. Be careful not to damage your printed circuit boards, they are delicate.

You can replace all the dash light bulbs with LED bulbs. That'll brighten them up considerably.

I bought a Nordskog kit for my 80 (in blue). I can't give you any info on the performace of them because they are not in the car yet (still getting painted) but they are in stalled in the panels. I direct wired them to see how the looked and in the sun, they were bright in the sun and looked amazing.
Don't bust on night rider that is my show.

Just make sure to leave an incandescent in the "GEN" warning light hole.

Probably a dumb question but why is that important?

The alternator's voltage regulator needs the resistance. The MAD Electrical website has a good explanation.

Of course for a few bucks more, one could always install real aircraft gauges instead of the fake ones in the 77-82 bezel. The dimensions seem to allow it as far as I can tell.
