No Corvette has ever been gelcoated from the factory. It's a car, not a boat.

Paint job came out great.

It was recommended to me and I used it on my car with good results.

I bought that stuff and it is not working as I hoped. Expecially after paying $55.00 a gallon.

BLOCK IT BLOCK IT BLOCK IT. DO NOT use a chemical stripper. Fiberglass is porous. The stripper can/will get absorbed into the glass. Using it on a metal body is fine, but not glass. After you think you have it all removed, and paint the car, you find that 6 months later some residual stripper that was absorbed into the glass has made it's way to the surface causing the paint to magically bubble. ANY experienced Corvette painter worth a damn will tell you to BLOCK the body down by hand, not to use stripper. But then again, hey, it's your car....do what you want.
