Well I am trying to install a dewitts direct fit.
the support is the one that came out of it and from the pictures that I have looked at it is correct.
Bushings are old but not that bad and the shroud is correct.
I just dont know!
Without the shroud I can install the red very easy but Ijust cant find the room with the shroud in. I spent all day and ding up my new rad and am still no where. I have to be missing something.
I remberber what i did with all the stuff off the ring thats around the fan (about 6 small Bolts) that circle comes off set aside. cut said shrouding so that the plastic covers up the upper a- arm put the rad in put the top part of the shroud back on and re- install the round ring put in the screws (6 or so ) and then just hook it all back up. the cut in shroud will not Not be Visable.
A CF member took me under his arm and helped me get it installed. We tried every way possible but finally had to take off the hood and she slid right in beween the shroud and the support. As for how it came out..the rad out first the shroud the support. I know it sounds strange but even thought it came out without removing the hood no way I could get it back in.
Thanks for all the advise and support its really great to be part of this group of Vette lovers!

...did the new NOS core support/re-cored radiator R & R on my '75 two years ago. Was done in less than an hour by MYSELF, but then again my motor/tranny was out, hood off and A-arms off.
