Default 1969 Roadrunner.

This car was amazing. 440, 6 Pack. It's factory purpose was blowing people's doors off.
It would run the quarter in the high 12s with stock everything. Insane.

I want to hear some of your thoughts on this car, and how it would compare in different measured ways, to a 1969 Corvette L88.

Nothing really other than showing off another TRUE muscle car from the days I wish I were alive.

Off of what cliff, I had one back when, it ran consistant 14.0's swapped out the 4speed for an automatic ran consistant 13.9's, swapped the motor for a home brewed .120" over 383 and ran steady 13 ohhhhhs, but hard to pass that one off as "stock", was fun tho. Peace,,, Moosie

Yes, I agree, this is a killer muscle car... but this post should be in the OFF TOPIC section.

these forums are being proliferated with useless garble.

I had an old Hot Rod mag and in it they tested a brand new 69 440 6-bbl Roadrunner, automatic with 4.10s.

Bone stock I think it ran 13.56.

I don't really dislike Mopars but don't like any of them from 60s as the body design and interiors are hideous. The designs from the early 70s are MUCH better. Wouldn't mind having a 70 Cuda, 71 Charger or 71 Roadrunner.

I suppose I could change this thread to a comparo between the '69 Road Runner 440 6Pck against a '69 Corvette L88.

That was a generalization referring to the decline in corvette content contained in many posts. Such posts, in my mind, are what the "Off Topic" forum was created for.

Durango did me right by revising his original post to include some C3 content.

Thanks man...appreciated.

I'm a MOPAR guy and a Vette guy, so I would call it close with the Vette winning.
