Why are you going to sell? After all the work you have done to it, I would think you would keep it forever.
As far as value, I would certainly expect north of 30K but I am no expert. It's weird but, if it were a 70 Camaro with the same mods, it would probably be more valuable.
Hope you get another C3 and continue to post. Your car is one of my favorites and you are a valuable resource of information. Maybe I'll win the lottery in the spring and buy it!
yeah...I hate to see you sell your car also unless it stays here on the forum. I plan on doing a LSx series engine swap next year and have been saving up and getting all plans in order to the swap with hope by July 2007 I can find a slightly ued good complete LS7 swap as my car is definitely going in the direction of a resto-mod beyond the point of no return. The only last thing to do on the car after X-mas will be the engine as the rest of my car will be completely done just waiting for a newer chevy heartbeat. Best wishes and thanks for the LS swap info write-up on your web page. Very helpful.
I have a neighbor who is looking for a C3. I'm in Kenmore (just north of Kirkland), so he is fairly local. If and when you do decide to sell it, you might pm me and I can give him the details.
I have been thinking of selling for several months now and finally decided it was the best thing to do. It is not enitrely a financial decision nor is it an upset wife situation. From the begining she has been nothing but supportive of whatever I do with the car.
The biggest reason is I never drive it. I'm at a point in my life where spending time with my family is more important and quite frankly more fun than going for a spin in the car. Don't get me wrong, I love the car, but I love the idea of having a classic car that we all can ride in more.
When I sell I will be getting a 68 Firebird project car to build up with my son. We will take a little bit more radical route with this one as it will have a complete C6 drivetrain, suspension, ABS, etc.
And before any of you suggest it, I can't keep the corvette and build up the bird. The one has to go so the other can happen. I've enjoyed having it, but now its time to let someone else care for it.
