Ok, my balancer has grooves cut in it by my cam chain cover seal.
Anyone have a source for a shaft saver style seal that has the thin sleeve you heat up and slide over the grooves? I've looked online and once again come up empty handed.
It's not that I'm tight or cheap, (well, ok....I am) but the balancer is in fine shape except for the seal wear on the shaft.
Some supplier or vender HAS to carry this cheap fix. Thanks for any help!

Well, I thought I looked in Ecklers printed catalog, but obviously as usual I over looked it. I have a Auto Zone near by, I'll check with them real quick and see if they have one in stock.
Ecklers $7.99 sounds about right. This is the first time I've seen a sleeve with out a slightly oversized seal with it, but the description is right. Thanks!

Fel-Pro makes a seal-saver..any good auto parts house will have it.
I really thought the seal savers would be common. I was gonna source one through my seal and bearings part house at work if I couldn't find one listed specifically for a small block.
I looked in Jegs, Summit...two or three others and didn't find 'em. I guess most folks would just pop the $50 or so and just get a new balancer. One way or another I'll have one a saver tomorrow, or at least have one on the way.
