Emergency brake help please
Have an issue with the emergency brake on my 71 4 speed. I stop on a decline, put it in neutral, set the emergency brake and the car rolls forward. If I turn the car around (nose pointing up the hill) and do the same thing the car does not roll backwards. I'm a newbie when it comes to fixing cars. Is this a big deal to fix? An adjustmet i can do myself? Costly?

yes you can adjust the brake and it doesn't sound like yours are locked up so thats a good thing...do you have a shop manual?
all E brakes that are drum brakes are like that they hold better in one direction then in another it just depends on where the lever is that speads them apart....

yes get a shop manual...there are two adjustment spots....one accessed through the rear rotor slot and the other is on the cabling
