Default Problems With Ecklers Parts

I ordered some parts over two weeks ago and was surprised at how long it took for them to arrive. A coil bracket and ignition shield kit were among the parts that I ordered.

I was very surprised at the low quality of the coil bracket, I'll basically have to bend it to make it work as the mounting flanges are not straight and it more oval than circular where the coil mounts.

As for the ignition shield, one of the heat sealed mounting tabs was broken and one of the mounting brackets was bent. I was even more surprised to find "Paragon" labels on the packaging.

I hope Ecklers is good about standing behind the quality of their parts and exchanging them.

Any advice on a better vendor to use in the future?

Have you contacted them yet? There have been many posts on this subject including one last week. Also there have been discussions about other vendors on this forum. The best is always to give the vendor a chance make it right before beating them up in an open forum.

Theres your answer.......it takes so long because they have to order it first from PARAGON. Now you know where to go, how foolish of them to leave the suppliers labels on, i'm certain someone in QC will be chewed out tomorrow !! You now know the source.......

All the major suppliers buy from each other on a lot of things......I promise you there is no one "magic" company out there that can get you parts that are up to yours or anyone else's standards. I personally haven't seen a part yet that is 100% defect free, and I have used pretty much everyone willcox, ecklers, corvette america, corvette central, mid-america, al noch, etc..

There is always going to be a problem with something
