I have a 69 with a fairly healthy 383 and looking to upgrade Edelbrock Performer #2101 intake. Would like to retain all other factory items (air cleaner, ignition sheilding ect..) and fit undre the hood.
Has anyone tried this intake? What carb did you use? Air cleaner fit on and under hood?
I have a #8000 on mine. The #8016 specs to be about 3/8" higher in the front than the #8000, that's not much at the carb.
Running the stock Q-jet with a generic drop 3" x 14" open element air cleaner. Got about 3/4" clearance to my stock cowl induction hood. Clears the distributor fine, but I have no shielding. That may be iffy.
i have one on my 72 with a 383 , edelbrock performer rpm heads a holley carb . hookers sidepipes and roller rockers, hei dist, 5 speed trans
i put on a l88 long hood on it . the stock hood fit but i like the look and the extra air of the new one . you will like the stealth as long as it is a duel plane
