Project 82 after first week
Here is some pics of the progress of the 82 Vette that I started to tear down last week. When I removed the paint the body has alot of pits that I am going to have to repair.
Here is the picture before the project started:

Keep us posted, I am going throught the same thing on my '82.
BTW, what the heck is that dangle plastic thing attached to the computer, (several wires to a plastic housing) if you open it there is some type of a circuit board in it? Looks OEM.

I am thinking about painting it red but not 100% sure. After I removed most of the paint I noticed that alot of imperfections that were not noticable when I started, now I can see why people use some good primer to fill in the imperfections.
I need to do a search in this forum for painting tricks since I am painting it myself

The project has been going a little slower than expected. Here are a few pictures of the frame going to get sandblasted. I am going to start tearing down the motor this weekend. Sorry about the quality of the pics; with all of the lights in the facility it is hard to get any decent pictures.

Looks awesome. Glad to see another '82 getting the frame-off treatment they deserve! you have made a ton of progress in a very short time.
Have you taken a look at my '82 restoration thread?
