Default The Right Master Cylinder?

I have a early 69 427-390hp with J50 power brakes. What numbers do a correct master cylinder have on it and are they dated? I have found 2 different numbers 5455509 & 5460346 and lots of different 2 digit codes PG,ZC etc and the AIM states 5461184.So confusing!!!!!! As everything else is numbers matching on this Vette i want to make sure i get this correct.

My 53-72 Corvette parts book says 69-72 with power brakes uses 5461184 stamped "PG" and has 1-1/8" dia bore. Don't know if they are dated, but most major brake parts will have a julian date stamped on them someplace. Couldn't find any record of the numbers you have.

1969 all production Master cylinder numbers I have is 5455509 for a base car and 5480346 for J50. The codes are as far as I know not something that matters. PG is important on some of them, but only for a J56 application in 1967 and a one year only one application master cylinder. As far as I know 5461184 was the 1968 power application and could also be used with J56.

Power brake master cylinders are casting number 5480346, standard brakes are 5455509. The flat semi circular machined area at the front of the master cylinder has a "PG" stamped into it for power brakes and "DC" for manual brakes. The wire bails holding on the cover have a tag on the rear bail with the letters "TG' in red for power brakes and "YA" for manual brakes. The two bails are natural finish while the master cylinder is painted a low-gloss black. On the front line fitting area there is a date code stamped. Also, there should be two bleeder screws, however replacement and later production untis did not always have these bleeder screws. Original bleeder screws were NOT stainless steel.
