Default 1973 rear end.. correct number?

does anyone know where i can ind the number/ stamping on a 1973 4 speed?

i had it up on a lift at an auto shop, but could not find a tag, or stamp, anywhere.

I was told by the po it is a 3:70 ratio.
would the code: ABW 223 2 mean anything? it's written down on his spec sheet.

would this be the stamp i am looking for? where would i find it.

also, is: 410350 a correct stamp for a 4 speed?

thanks.

AB is correct for a 3:70

Sounds like the 410350 could be the last six digits from your VIN. Check it out.

AB is 3.70 gear, W is for Warren MI plant, 223 is the day of the year, and 2 is 2nd shift. It should be stamped on the flat in front of the spring mount on the bottom of the housing.
