I just did the passangers side. Works great. The front and rear seals from Ecklers is the ticket. The rears are laytex and 79.95 a pair. Window goes up all the way.

Default For what it's worth

Mine was jumping out of the blowout clip when slammed..
I tried the method in the assembly manual and belive it or not it worked! I had spent hours F*&^ with every other method. The assembly manual simply says the following:
1. Loosen all the adjustment bolts with the window down.
2. CAREFULLY and gently close the door
3. Let the window up.
4. Place a suction cup on the window and position it where it touches the weatherstripping and has proper clearances.
5. Tighten the bolts.

I did it a couple of times before it suited me, but it worked...

I remember that mine had a few times when the movement I needed was so slight that it was almost impossible to make.It has been three years since I was inside my vert's doors and I can't remember. I will try to check my AIM when I get home tonight.

One thing you can try if you have the door apart is to remove the glass from the rollers and channels and just hold it up in place to see if it will actually fit, this would eliminate wrong glass or body alignment problems.
I was going to mention the same........be sure the glass actually fits the shape. I've adjusted the driver window on my 82 multiple times because I was never completely satisfied. I replaced the weatherstripping; that was one of the times. Had the glass ttop re-laminated so, while I was adjusting all the tops to fit the way I wanted I went at the door window one more time. It's as good as it's going to get.

As a previous thread mentioned loosen the adjustment bolts and grab the window by hand and push/turn it to get it where you want. I also adjusted the rattle-guards or whatever those things are called on the top of the inside door panel to hold the window out; mine are kinda worn anyway. Upon close inspection of the movement, closing of the window I noticed one time that the rear/top of the window glass would just barely catch the weatherstripping when it closed; that's why the window would sometimes be outside the track guide located on the A pillar. I adjusted the tilt in the back just slightly so that it never caught and has been fine since.....duh!! I have concluded that wind noise and leaks are just part of the game with these creatures.

Good luck.....Mark
