Hi Alex and welcome! If you get the chance to talk to Panic, he may be able to offer some friendly and local advice! He has a beast of a Vette!!

Go for a good crate motor and research what transmission you want to put in. Lots of great advice here!!!

Enjoy the project, post some pics and get her back on the road!

Good Luck!

Just curious...what's your total budget? We can make some really good suggestions to help you reach your goal. I also agree that contacting Panic is a good way to go. He'll be able to help you out a lot over there with resources and how to order things efficiently. Here's a Private Message link to Panic.

www.gm-goodwrench.com inside threre is the heart of my beast. an 502 engine ram-jet, i want to put öhmlins suspenssion powered by nitrogenus liquid like rear suspenssion of many motorcycles, but the are specialist in gt championships, indy , nascar an any good race-car.but that problems don´t worry now to me.

1-. i need to modify my chassis because originally are made to ressist
only 365lbs. of torque an i want to put a big block with more than 565 lbs. of torque . i now that it´s a problem, now i´m study to purchse if it sells a tubular chassis , but if that chassis are very expensive , modiffy my own chassis in madrid are a big friend of mine who has modifiy his own chassis on his 81 gold vette. he has the original plains of the vette and modify then to do more stronger and the car turns on any situation very good.
2-. some one else named goal . it´s very clear to me i want a 70´s old school race car but with the tecnologies of the s.xx1
my idea is do somethin like the white´s greenwood vette .i know that men runnnin on 70`s and have a vert modify to run like i want to do know. when i see many of yours vettes in someone esle of your drags-racings i need to do the same, i know that do a car of 10 seconds it´s very difficult but i´m goin to try do a good race car.
3-.thanks a lot for your help i was very pleasured to find my way, and i want to wih you a merry christmas and on next year all your wishes will be done .thanks again for help me ..

Hi Alex - Welcome!

I love Madrid. I spent many months working there and met many very nice people.

Many Corvettes came with big blocks. New engines have more power, but you can still put that 502 in your Corvette and the chassis will be OK. You will probably first need a better clutch and maybe transmission.

Good luck with your project!

hi alex, welcome to the forum, it's nice to start something like a long term and important project like the one you have in mind...it's a long way and, like a few members underlined, unfortunately quite costly... but could give you great satisfaction...

it's a few years now that i have my vette and more then 2 years that i come to the forum, i've learnt a lot here, there is plenty of great people (some 'truth keepers' as well but where there isnt anyway?? )...

i live in vigo since 2003, but i am italian i speak fluently spanish, so in your PM's you can write spanish to me, if you wish.

in the eventuality you'll need some used parts for your vette i have quite a few first quality items which i could give you for a very honest price

if you need 'local' advices i'm here at your disposal as well

She enjoys pictures of attractive women just as much as I do. Once at dinner at a sushi place we had a fantastic looking blonde waitress named Jenn. Sarah was so taken aback by this girls looks she asked me if we could...'take her home.' Obviously, fearing a 'TEST' I said no, and just laughed with her about it.

1-.i´ve been talking with my coach and says to me everything´s o.k.
no the fisrt thing that i want to know is what i have tu put into my car
the chassis problem is alredy working and we put some crossbars forged onto the chassis with t.i.g. this not modify the components of the orriginally chassis.so finally i don´t buy any chassis because for me is more cheaper do stronger my own´s that buy anyone´s new, but if i live on u.s.a. sure that i purchase anyone new. then went the first buy ...

2-.what´s the best body mounts for my car? named, price and where i have to go to buy it.

3.front end kits ,contol arms bushings, strut rod bushings, ball joints, outler tie rod ends, front and rear sway bar kits who´s best' remenber that my car it´s going to be what name you uses for it? pro-street. please gimme the directions of that people who do the best price no matter problem .i want to do a good car new, because i want to have no problems with my car .you know turn key and gooo...........

4. i want to put one cell of fuel and quit my old tank of fuel ,who´s doing this ceels and i want a big cell for to have more autonomy.price and sponsors to do this cells ahhh and all the thing´s that you have to put on the cell.

5. 1. do the chassis and separate the body to the chasis
2.i take my car to chiva and then put onto the chassis epoxy paint and "antigravilla" this word you have to translate sorry.
3. then i put my first buy , body mounts, tie rods ends and also named here
4. then i buy öhnlins suspennsion and put into my car , then came brakes but this is a thing that i have many questions so we can discusse it later, remenber it takes 2 years or more so we have too much time to deicide it.
6. i WANt to thank you , to all people who has the time to response me i want to say hello and sent a big salute to all of them .
