I also have a 75 with not so much horsepower great car though first things to check brakes brakes brakes.Did you say drag race ,New engine new everything.Welcome to the forum.
Congratulations on your '75 vert. It'll be a nice car when you're done. All convertibles are nice, regardless of the year. Sounds more like a cruiser than a drag car though. I say "fix it up and cruise" during all that free time you spoke of.
Glad you found your way over from the intro section. You will get all the help you need right here and in the C3 tech section. There are even other European members that regularly check in.
I would like to say you can read magazines and books of all kinds but you will find the best information here on the forum as it is not only up to date but also new things are tried and done all of the time that will not only make your life easier but also to help you enjoy your Corvette as much as you can. And there are companies here on the forum that give feed back and helpful advice such as DeWitts,VBP,Van Steel, ClassicChevy5Speed and many others.
With that said I would highly recommend that you purchase the A.I.M. Book or Assembly Instruction Manual that you will find that many of the forum sponsors that you will see on the left of the screen carry if you can not find them locally to you.
Welcome. My suggestion is just look at the forums here and do a search for what you have questions on, and ask questions for what you can't find answers to. Although you are half a world away from most of us, the answer to almost any problem you could have is as close as your computer.
