Define "spotting." I mean, jeepers, we all know one when we see one.

I think I found 73
I've known about a vette in a barn for years.... yep one of those stories...
it has a chrome rear bumper and a rubber front.. (I think that means 73?)
Anyway I just wanted to see what year it was.. I did not have a chance to see the vin tag...
I'm going to make an offer....

Here's a basic C3 reference that works for me:
'68 is the only year to have a push key slot/door open button. (no paddle lever openers)
'68-69 had three side "gills" for fender vents.
'70-72 had "egg crate" hatch vents
'68-'72 chrome bumpers front and rear
'73 rubber nose & chrome rear bumper
This is obviously just a exterior list. Front directional shapes were circular in '68-'69 too. There are different directional lense and bulb colors (but that's almost impossible for me to care about).
