I seem to remember reading someplace that a Vette with A/C would not have Astro Ventilation, but my '72 has A/C and the windows also say Astro Ventilation. They look for all the world to be original, and the A/C is obviously original to the car. The side vents hook up to the ventilation/blower system; I have not taken the kick panels off to see what is behind them; the ***** beside the vents open and close off those vents. I probably would not recognize Astor V. anyway but.....Can that year have both? The End

The rear deck vents should not be functional on your car. Should just have block off plates under those rear deck grills if I am not mistaken.
