Default Pace Car Question

It is my understanding that the leather seats were a standard option with the Leather w/ cloth inserts as a no cost option. My car was origionally equipped with the leather / cloth seats. Does anybody know of a vendor that makes reproduction replacement covers for seats like this?

The dealer Pace Car order form had a box where the buyer would select cloth or leather but the one I have...neither is checked off. So, my thinking would be as you state...one was standard like the leather and the cloth no cost option. All the information indicates the "contour bucket seats" as standard options but the leather description is not included. All my build sheets show the AYY2 smoke leather interior. There's a Pace Car (low mileage) on eBay and it shows pictures of it...but than you have one.

I would try the larger manf of interiors like Al Knoch and ask the question.

You can try this, but I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for. You might want to call them and get some details.

I am looking for the material that covers the foam. I already have leather that a previous owner replaced, but mine came with the leather and cloth inserts. It would be nice to have the origional plus it is different from most other Pace cars.

The leather/vinyl seats were standard. Believe it or not, in 1978 it was an option to get the cloth insert seats. These seem to be pretty rare as I have only seen a couple Pace Cars with it. Check Al Knoch, they typically do any and all combinations of Vette interiors.

The Pace Car options package included leather. Leather/cloth was an option.

I have a set of the cloth Pace Car seats. I just purchased the leather seats to go in after the paint is done.

FWIW: The OEM cloth upholstery is rarer than the leather.

I wonder what the final bid will be - As the owner of an '82 CE with under 500 miles, these auctions always interest me!
