let us have a few pics of your ride...
I was watching Speed Channel yesterday and they're building a 1969 Camaro clone. Built from the ground up using all catalogue parts, sub-frames, body panels, interior, etc.
I suppose you could do the same with a Corvette. They offer frames, body panels, suspension, etc. If the $$$ didn't matter you could probably make a pretty trick car if that was your plan.

actually the body for the project is a complete new body and not panels.
im not sure how it would get registered but as long as you can regester it i would think it would be the way to go. dont have to worry about a rust bucket and everything would be new.
I believe one of the Corvette Mags did a complete straight axle with nothing but catalogues to start with, called it Mr. Big. Sold it at Barrett-Jackson last year for around 85k as I remember. L88 and L89 cars are being cloned, only they're being passed off as the real thing.

Actually, it is a Unibody...just like the original car. Rear clip and floor pan with firewall attached. And then the front fender, hood, decklid, and valance "panels" are attached later, as the origninal car. Same could be done with a vette
