I think you are right about that.He might have built one to race but I don't think so.A lot of stuff was happing back then.I remember going to Berger Chevy for parts,Berger was where I bought my 70 Z from.It was allways busy back then.

It was the last car at the auction at Carlisle. It was bid to $75k but did not sell. It's a very nice clean car, but I don't care for the color combination and wouldn't pay anywhere near the asking price. That's just my feeling. To me the fact that it is one of one adds no value. There is a reason that combination was not offered! The kindest thing I can say is that it doesn't look nearly as bad as it sounds, "Green with orange interior" sounds absolutely horrible!! But because the orange is a dark burnt orange, and the green is also dark, it's not jarring, but it's not what I would want.
