radiator frame repair

Need to replace my radiator frame in 70 convertible. Any tips or step by step posting that anyone can give. Thanks in advance. It's my Christmas week project.

It's called a core support. Common for them to go bad.
Make sure you get the correct one for the car.

Not that bad of a job. Be patient and get extra shims in case you need them. You don't want to put anything in a bind. Mock things up, and bolt the hood back in to make sure you haven't messed up the alignment.

Have you ever removed/replaced a hood?
This is the trickiest part. If you have never done it, this is where you will need tips. Much has been written on this subject in this forum.

mark around the hood hinges with a sharp crayon. That should get you back where you need to be.
