Default 17'' ralley wheels ?

Does any one know of a manufacture for 17'' ralley wheels with trim rings ? Also any suggestions on wheels in general once my frame of resto is complete? I really like the looks of the lower body profile as well as lower tire profile on this forum.

Have never seen a trim ring for a 17" rally, the wheels seem to come in chrome or billet and I believe they need different center derby caps.

Hi

No trim rings for 17 " available.

But I think that by using the SS rings from a 15 " , CUT THEM AND WELD A PIECE IN BETWEEN SHOULD MAKE THEM FIT THE 17 ".
SS is easy to weld and repolish.
Would make this ralley wheel look even more original.
May be somebody could try with a old wrotten one just to sse if the radius somehow adapts to the 17 " arc.

Happy new year. Günther

I had the Wheel Vintique 17" steel ralleys. There's really no need for a trim ring. The outer edge is chromed so it has the trim ring look.

Draw back to the steel ralley was it was very heavy. I think the rim alone was 35 lbs, plus another 30 for a good 17" tire=65 lbs compared to 55 lbs for a stock wheel. I went to 17" torque thrusts (2-piece aluminum rim). The rim was 21 lbs for a total of 51 lbs.

I have 17" ralleys on my 67. I can get some updated pics and post them in the next day or so. i have the billet aluminum and they are very light. They told me that there was a trim ring available but it is smaller than the original...they didnt seem to think it was worth selling. I had the centers powder coated silver and the polished lip looks like the orignal trim ring...very nice.

Love the look of my ralleys and like the look of the 17's (steel and billet) but they look just a little off to my eyes without the rings, the rings seem to give them some depth, contour or something that is pleasing to me

I took a pic real quick. Car and tires are dirty but the wheels still look good to me.

Here is a photshoped pic that shows how the rims could look if I went a little larger. I think they would look sweet.
