Continued reassembling the '79 and finished wetsanding and buffing. I used 1500 and 2000 grit paper, Evercoat buffing compound and dark foam glaze, pretty good stuff and a lot cheaper than the 3M stuff
The $20 HarborFreight buffer did a great job
I like that Blue. Great job, maybe someday you can teach me how to paint.
I've never painted before. If you have a compressor get a cheap HVLP gun and spray some cheap paint - paint a plastic bucket, a fender from the junkyard or whatever and see how it works for you...... it's really easy....
I too like the color, whats it called? great job.looks great.
It's 2005/2006 Corvette LeMansBlue. I added blue metal flakes in the first coat of clear to give it a little more 'bling' - unfortunately you can't see the flakes on the photos.

Me? Miss a thread? Yep, happens all the time. So I'm right? That sucks man...sorry.
Looks like alot of C3's are going with the LeMans Dark Blue Metallic (Code 019). Did you do yours in 3 stages (Gloss black, LeMans Blue, and then Clear)?
