I have a 1982 corvette that I am rebuilding and I was wondering if the motor is the original. I have numbers here for yous guys to use. I read this forum all the time and know there is a lot of smart guys on here. I dont know how to read them myself so here they are.
You're missing a number on the pad at the front of the right head. You should also find the VIN deriviative stamped there and it should match your VIN if the engine is original.

Take another look.
You might need to use a scuff pad or sandpaper to clean it enough to read it.
