they are worthless for our cars, no way to mount the body on one and for working on a frame it's overkill IMO, you can bolt the frame to 2 engine stands and have the same effect.
I don't know how you could mount a Vette body on one of those things, especially with the front end bonded on. Perhaps a shop that does a lot of cars could develop some sort of jig, but I wouldn't even think of buying one.
I just got one. You have to get the corvette "subframe" it allows mounting of the body to the units. Problem with using 2 engine stand as stated would be you dont have enough height. The one I just got uses 17 inch wheels...this way you can roll/tow/haul the body frame around for painting, body work, cleaning, etc...

Makes it much easier to do bodywork and stripping. Also if you're painting the bottom fo the car this is perfect. I'll take more pics if anyone needs them. It adjust alot farther down then it is in this pic.
