Does anyone know what the difference is between brake lines for a manual system vs. power system? I am converting my manual brake system to power but notice catalogues list brake lines for power brakes & w/o power brakes. Do I need to change all my brake lines as well?
My suggestion would be to purchase the assembly instruction manual for your year and compare the two installations. The AIM will list the different parts, the original part numbers, and show line drawings of the PB installation.
The master cylinder on a PB system is in a different place (attached to booster) than the manual (attached to firewall) so the lines are formed differently.

I believe the only difference is the 2 lines from M/C to proportioning valve.
On my car the proportioning valve is attached to the master cylinder. That is why the lines are different. I think the lines from the proportioning valve to the master are the same.

Is that a '68 thing? On my car the prop valve is bolted to the frame. Corvette Central catalog seems to indicate the only difference is the m/c lines (standard or power). There is no differentiation on crossover, left front, or front to rear; except 68 has different front to rear depending on standard or power.

Dooh! Yes of course it's a 68. I don't know why I continue to think my car shares parts with any other C3. I'll learn one of these days.
68's don't have a proportioning block, they have a distribution block.
The front brakes are independant (hydraulically) from the rear.
The only difference between manual and power brakes, is as said above, the lines from the Master Cylinder to the distribution block are different because the power brake vacuum housing positions the Master Cylinder forward.

Have you though about a hydraulic brake booster that runs off your power steering pump.
Hydratech sells a bolt on system and you will not have to add holes or mess up the section of the fire wall that the master cylinder is bolted to. The mounting for the power brake booster is going to be different than what you have now. http://www.hydratechbraking.com/products/
