Default Strange question

Has anyone here tried to put a C3 body on a C5 chassis? I know that the C5's are longer and wider by a few inches but is it or would it be possible. I was offered a swingin deal on a complete chassis with motor and 6 speed tranny still installed. I've got a pretty good 81 body or even my screwd up pace car that I could use. What do you think?

you are probably best off using one of these frames that a C3 body will bolt on to and use your drivetrain on it

Some people have already done this sort of thing modifying a C5 chassis to fit a C3. I think you can even have a 1959 C1 body dropped onto a modified C5 chassis. Get ready to write checks that have six numbers before the decimal point. If you are able to write a check with six numbers before the decimal point, you will have a C3 (or a C1 or C2) on a C5 chassis. If you've got the money, it'll only take a few seconds to write out that check!

Yea I've seen the kits out there. They look really nice. This chassis is such a good deal I just thought about trying it.

Sound interesting, even if the C3 body does not fit the C5 frame you could buy the tube frame to make everything fit. Good luck

If you have a checkbook that can write 6 figure checks... just buy a C5, a C1 and use whats left to spruce up the pace car
