You can get new covers, many in two tone.

I've seen tan, red, black and red & yellow in stock C5's.

Yes, probably can order different colors. Most people seem to be selling black seats.

If I get new seats they would have to be dyed to match the interior (dark doeskin)

You can dye them about any color you want. Get a good quality vinyl dye (i.e., SEM, etc.) and follow the directions for use. If you don't have spray equipment, buy the bottle/aerosol system sold at a car paint supply place; they work very well for vinyl dye. You can do a lot of pieces with a pint of SEM dye. Good luck!

C5 seat covers are easy to change but the prices run from around $800 and up.

Clean them extremely well before you shoot the dye. Corvette leather seats have a protective clear coat on them which you will need to remove before shooting your new color.

Exactly, which is why I was looking at C5 seats (everything is black.)

> Corvette seats have a clear protective coating...

I presume the paint supply places have stuff to take that off ?

What about C4 seats? do these have the protective coating?

Thx.
