Things are looking up. Check out the article in Hemmings Muscle Machines magazine. Dated FEB. 2007. Its titled 1970 Corvette LT-1. 370hp screamer. "Not every hot collectible is a big – block V-8".
There's also a article in Hemmings (Classic Car) Jan. issue...titled "Top 21 Hottest Collector Cars" which is the main article in the Mag! All LT-1's are one of the 21!! Muddy

I had a 69 Z and I know all about the LT1 that followed a year latter. Not many around anymore, but I've seen a few at the C/V weekend in Eureka Springs. Nice cars.....sounds great!

When I was looking for my first vette in 1999 the LT-1 was at the top of my list. I still have some pics that Proteam sent me for $10. I was lusting after a gorgeous blue vert LT-1 at Carlisle when the salesman pulled me aside and confided that it wasn't a "real" LT-1. I ended up buying a 68 bigblock because I couldn't find the right LT-1 at the right price. Now I am so paranoid about fakes I would probably stick with a 72 if I bought an LT-1.

Last weekend I called a guy that was selling a 72 LT-1 at a resonable price... I asked him to read me the Vin #. He called it out...but with a "K"!!!! No thank you!!! Muddy
That was a nice article in the latest Hemmings mag....and the asking prices on the LT-1's seem to have been inching up lately, especially for those restored nicely or original. I have been actually thinking of picking up a 72 to round out the stable (one from each year would be wouldn't it!!), and have looked at a couple recently, but even the fixer uppers are starting to be pricey....but if I find a 72 in Bryar Blue, it might end up in my garage.
In that same issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines (Feb.07) that featured the 1970 LT-1, in the section named "Auction Action" from last years Corvettes at Carlisle they make some comments about two LT-1's that went up for auction ( a '70 and a '71) they said "We believe LT-1s are the next six-figure Corvettes" and they also stated "Next year $36,000 won't touch a LT-1". I sure am glad I still have mine, and plan on keeping her for a while.
