Default best/easiest way

You didn't mention cheapest, so this is my solution as best/easiest:

A couple of years ago my son insisted on getting his windows tinted and I said OK, but if you get a ticket, it comes off...........well, guess what ?? I googled for a solution and after reading so many horror stories about how difficult it was dealing with the glue, etc., I told him to go back to the shop that put it on and have them remove it. Dropped it off in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon. As I recall, it wasn't that bad ($20-$30) and they did a great job.
I must add that he didn't learn his lesson. He has a different car now and soon after he moved out of the house he had that one tinted too.

Ammonia they say is the key ingredient to softening it. Use the cellophane over it to keep it wet/soaked. The longer you let it work, the biger the sheet will peal away. I have never tried the heat gun method. You can cause delamination on a laminated window with too much heat. I have found that if you use a razor blade you will make fine scratches at a minumum and possibly big scratches. If you simply try to peal it, it will come off in small chunks and leave a glue residue behind which is a MOTHER to remove. Take care, Terry

I just pulled all mine off in 20 minutes using just a razor blade. Pulled up a corner and it came off in 5-6 big pieces. Maybe I had cheap tint, but I got lucky. I'll use some nail-polish remover to get what's left of the glue (not much)

Hopefully you got it all. Lots of times when you pull it off like that it leaves a glue residue. When you try to wipe it off it smears endlessly and little pieces of lint and stuff start to stick to it as you try to clean it up. Huge messsssss. But, it sounds like you got it! Take care, Terry
