Thanks for the photos....I've been watching both nights, but after checking the results of the entire days, we really don't see much on Speed coverage. As the week goes on, and the cars get better, the commercials intensify.
There certainly were some good deals between 10K-17K the first two days. It sort of gets surreal by the weekend. I do think that Steve and Craig have put together a great variety of cars that keep any trends from developing. I believe they know how to assemble a great group of cars for their bidders.
Is that white ZL1 the real one or a clone?I know it's early yet but if the trend continues the way it's going a lot of prople are going to lose their behinds.

It is a "tribute" car. The word clone seems to have been replaced by "tibute" this year Besides corvette tribute cars, there were also a few among the camaros, mopars, and mustangs.

Re-creation is another word becoming quite popular. As long as they tell you what it is it can't be called a fake anymore. Some of these are bringing the kind of money the cars they are copying should bring. It is fun to watch it though.
I was kind of surprised to see a 70 go for $32K that had a NOM and lots of aftermarket parts on it, including an L-88 hood. Shows that all Corvettes are going to go up in price if they are maintained and, well, just look damned good!

I think this is the one you are speaking of. We saw it being pulled from the prep area into the staging area, and then again after it sold getting parked outside. The guy that parked it thought it went between 60K and 65K, but I never verified that.
My sister in laws dad put some funds into the building of lot 427 last night that went for 87k, I'm wondering how much it took to actually build it, was a 69 Yenko Camaro clone. Looked pretty nice, but I'm thinking they probably didn't make too much. He's also in on lot 990 going through on Saturday I think. It's a '61 Chrysler 300, will be interesting to see what that brings as well.
