You should only have to remove the 6 screws from the top to remove the rack. If it has not been removed in years then there might be some rust on the screws sticking thru the well nuts. the well nuts are rubber with brass inserts. Getting some PB blaster on the screws will help. When you reassemble, fill the well nuts with grease to help prevent future corrosion. GL
