What mpg does you C3 get?

I don't know- I have to shut it off at the gas pump just to catch up. I'f I leave it running I can't seem to get the tank full.
Not really. And I'm running 110 octane gas at $6.00 a gallon. 12.5:1 compression just dosen't like pump gas of any flavor.
But it do smell good!!

The engine/filters/carb are all clean, and that is the mpg without the AC on. Of course, my foot is always hard on the accelerator, but it still seems low. What's the most common fix for this? (besides less acceleration)
Now that I have a 3.55, getting 10! I need to get over how much faster the 3.55 and stay off the pedal!
But am at 6.7 0 - 60 as opposed to stock 8 or so.

On the freeway it seems alright(judging by how far the gas gauge has moved over a certain distance), but driving in traffic is where the mileage really takes a beating
My '68 was only checked a couple of times. Once going to an autocross 100 miles away with some guys, one of which pulled the tag off his Monte Carlo to put on his '56 to drive there. So we drove 55 and not a mile over to avoid getting stopped. Unfortuantely, I autocrossed and then checked mileage when I filled up for the trip home.
'68 427/390 hp, 4 sp, 3.08 rear. 19 mpg.
One trip back from Bloomington, belts had gone bad and I lost one, and had the others slipping. Only running 50 home, as any faster made the belts slip.
'68 427/390 hp, 4 sp, 3.55 rear. 15 mpg.
'77 L48 auto same trip 12 mpg
'72 350 auto same trip 13 mpg
Stinkin' junk '68s.
Even with more horses and lower gears, I got better economy than those later C3s.
Thanks in advance.
