Simple. remove the nut holding the linkage to the motor shaft and pull the linkage off the shaft. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) (engine side). Remove the 3 nuts holding the wiper motor to the firewall. Pull the motor off the 3 mounting studs. Note that there is a gasket between the motor and firwall.

I had mine off a couple of years ago when I filled and smoothed my firewall and found out the factory had left out the gasket!

just did it on my 82...took all of 15-20 min. three bolts on the motor and one nut one the wiper transmission connection area. Unplug the wires and remove the motor. You will have to use some parts off the old motor. mounting bushings, cover, headwall gasket and rubber cap.
