The headlight switch is on the headlight assy. I think it is supposed to tell you the headlights are on but not up?
My t-tops are in the attic, dunno how to adjust them, be a while before thats an issue for me

The switches that turn the warning light off are mounted on the headlamp actuator arms.

This info came from "Steve COSD" when I asked a similar t-top alignment question. I haven't had the time yet to make these adjustments but will follow Steves advice.

The tops can be adjusted. You will need to remove the tops from the car. Place them upside down on something soft that wont damage the paint. You will need to remove the headliner. It is held on by small phillips screw and small plastic pieces that interlock to each other. These need to be pried apart with a flat blade screwdriver or something like a butter knife. If the plastic piece becomes unattached to the original postion then use some two part epoxy to reattach. After you get the headliner off then you will see what are called the spades. You will be able to see how they can be moved in or out to adjust as needed. Before you do any adjusting I would mark the original position. Also be aware that when you move the top in or out that it may have an affect on how the top of the door glass sits in the weatherstrip. If the gap is anywhere from 3/16th to 3/8ths and they are straight when looking while standing in front of the car than I would be happy. By the way I have seen the spades that have been bent by too much force or improper adjustment. After you adjust go slow when locking them in place.
Good Luck
Steve

I measured both my vettes center gap...the 78 is 3/8" and the 69 is 7/16"....if you are more than that,it may be possible to reduce gap...
Height may involve weather strip and/or forward latch...
