Default Console Gauge Cluster

Apart from the oil TEMP gauge instead of the clock, are there any other differences between my 82 console gauges and earlier console gauges?

Can anyone post pics of any differences please?

When you say earlier, what years are you referring to? Several Corvette catalogues will have pictures of the different style gauges and instrument gauge housings. There were at least three changes during the '68 thru '82 years.

I think you mean oil temperature gauge... not oil pressure. Both the 81 and 82 use the oil temp gauge instead of the clock which was moved to the radio otherwise your gauges are basically the same as a 1980. As posted already, there were modifications during the C3.

Early as in 68-76. Are they much different in size or style to 82 gauges?

I've been looking at http://www.whitegauges.net/ and they only have 68-76 and I was wondering if they would be ok for my 82. They said they would make overlays for my 82 gauges but I have to send my gauges to them for them to do so. And, as I'm in Saudi, it would cost a mint to do that.

If the 68-76 gauges aren't much different, I could send them just an oil temp gauge so they could make an overlay for it to go with a 68-76 kit.

I am using an oil temp gauge with my Early gauges. I just swapped to a red needle. The size is the same.

Whitegauges is not up to speed with the changes in the cluster area. 68- 76 seems ok. But 77 has a volt guage not amp. They are trying to work through this when it will happen I don't know.
