Default hardware I.D.

HI, I am rebuilding a 71, so I bought the assembly book, its good but it only lists the hardware number not the description of the bolt, nut or washer. Is there a site or book that has the number with the description, so I know it will be accurate when i am done?

GM had a seperate series of part numbers for common fasteners so they don't even appear in the Service Parts books. The closest I've been able to come is a catalog from AMK Products. http://amkproducts.com/ They list MANY GM part numbers and give the sizes. The catalog was about 5 bucks and well worth the price. Also, I think Richard Fortier who used to own Paragon Corvette Parts started another business and he sells correct bolts. He had an add in the last NCRS Driveline magizine.

If you need an Index for the 71' AIM, PM me your email address and I'll send you the Excel one that I did.
