Was backing the 78 out of the garage this morning and heard a "clunk" noise when I applied the brakes (driver side, front) At first I thought my weld repair failed on my spring pocket...
This is what I found:
Time to do upper control arm bushings...
Just thought I'd share this,as I already did trailing arms a few weeks ago,and got busy pulling tranny out of the 69....should have finished the 78...
I just finished assembling the upper and lower control arms last night. Fortunately Mike made those bushing tools.
With all of the parts orders that I have been making for the wife's 78, I have been adding a part or 2 to the order for the 69. She caught me red handed asking if they made a mistake sending 2 suspension rebuild kits.

My wife drives the 78 occasionally....I just put a new Dewitts in the 78 (for her) in Sept and trailing arm bushings recently..... now I have to finish the 69 pilot bushing repair so can have a vette to drive while the 78 is down...
